If issue still persists, then install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that works.

Can't install rosewill usb wifi adapter on Windows 10 desktop.
My son has a Windows 10 desktop, and he had been using the Rosewill RNX-N150HG without issues.
However, today I reformatted his computer and am now having trouble installing the drivers for it. Windows 10 does not automatically detect it, but it does show up in Device Manager as 'USB2.0 WLAN' or something similar.
So I went to the rosewill website so I could download the drivers to install them manually, but I see no windows 10 drivers in the download list, despite him using it fine on windows 10 before the format(not sure how).
I go ahead and download the package that says 'for all OS', but it only includes drivers for windows XP to windows 7. The only one that it detects as the correct driver when trying to install manually is the Windows 7 64-bit version, but when it attempts to install I get an error saying 'The hash for the file is not present in the specific catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering'.

EDIT: I fixed the issue by using advanced startup options and choosing option 7 to disable driver signing.
